We always hear about the exorbitant salaries that actors in Hollywood receive, however, not all the actors are well paid. The salary of an actor depends on the type of industry they work for. The Hollywood movie industry is without a doubt the one which pay the most. Famous actors can earn millions of dollars for just one movie. Actors in independent movies receive a lot less; an actor can make $98 000 per year. TV actors make a little more because they work more hours, in a year they can make $130 000. Theater actors receive less, around $63 000 per year. However it is also known that some actors can only make around a thousand per month because they never get good roles.
Becoming an actor is not easy because there is a lot of competition. Some people, especially young, think that having the talent, being good looking and getting an agent is enough but sometimes it is not.
If you want to get hired, the first step as in all the professions is having a good Actor Resume.
